Established in 1986, SADIA Kuching Branch was the
fourth branch set up after Sri Aman, Mile 12 and
Rajang branches.
The branch is governed by an Executive Committee
elected by members once every two years. The branch
Executive Committee members consist of a Chairman, a
Vice-Chairman, a Secretary, an Assistant Secretary,
a Treasurer, an Assistant Treasurer and nine
committee members.
The Executive Committee is responsible for setting
policies and directions of the branch whereas
various Working Committees formulate programmes and
activities of the association.
The branch currently has set up six (6) Working
Committees as follows:
• Information & Knowledge Management
• Members’ Training & Development
• Education Development
• Sports & Recreation
• Members’ Welfare
• Social & Cultural Development
In terms of funding, the branch is funded through
its fundraising activities as well as from
membership fees and proceeds from the sales of its
publications.
Currently, SADIA Kuching Branch has about 50 members
comprising teachers, lecturers, engineers,
accountants, businessmen, pensioners and young
executives. |
