members and guests,
We are very happy to see that SADIA Kuching Branch
finally has its own website as we do not want to be left
behind from the mainstream of development as our country
strives to achieve Vision 2020.
In today’s fast-changing environment and borderless
world, we all know that information/knowledge is the key
commodity in order for us to compete with other
communities throughout the world.
Thus, we cannot afford to be mere bystanders or
spectators if we want to see our community especially
the Ibans to be on par with other races. We have to
encourage and bring our community to embrace Information
and Communications Technology (ICT) as our way of life.
Today, we can see people from all walks of life, be it
students, housewives, teachers, community leaders,
politicians, businessmen and office workers have joined
the “ICT bandwagon” as it is an important tool and
resources, which we can use to communicate, create,
disseminate, store and manage information and knowledge
effectively and efficiently.
As for SADIA Kuching Branch, we would like to use this
website as the ‘bridge’ for us to contribute
towards the advancement of our Iban community in the
State in particular and Malaysia in general.
Specifically, we will use this website to facilitate the
sharing of information and knowledge on
current government's policies and programmes with
our community, especially on education, business and
land development issues.
I hope that SADIA members and others make full use of
this website as a platform to discuss issues of
common concerns, brainstorm and share new ideas
as well to promote better networking and unity
among us. Please feel free to give your comments and
suggestions on how we can improve this website.
